Wizard of Oz

Kianna's first week at Jupiter Christian, she tried out for the Wizard of Oz. It was very brave of her, since she had been away for a year and a half and was stepping outside her comfort zone trying something new. She didn't get the big part she had hoped for, but she did get cast in four different ensembles. She was a Jitterbug, a Winky, a tornado in the opening scene and part of the Emerald City Choir. She worked very hard and the show was amazing! Kianna did a great job and we're very proud of her!

Kaylee's Senior Prom

Kaylee went to dinner with Camryn and some of her friends at U-Tiki. Then she met up with Izzy and some other friends at DuBois Park for pictures. Obviously, they got some amazing pictures. Kaylee had fun at prom with her friends. They ended the night at IHOP.

New Car

With Kaylee going off to college in the fall, we had a big decision to make as to whether she needed to take her car with her or not. In the end, we decided to let her take Wanda with her. Therefore, Kianna was blessed with her own car, a 2021 Honda Civic, which she immediately named Sibby. Both girls were ecstatic to have their own cars.

Senior Night Flag Football

Kaylee thought it'd be fun to go out for flag football and she was right. She went from barely playing to playing most the game by the end of the season. She was the center, which is the person who snaps the ball. By the end of the season, she had caught several passes and even run with the ball. She did have a fun season and was honored at senior night. Unfortunately, Trevor was stuck in Detroit that night due to severe flooding in Ft. Lauderdale that caused his flight to be cancelled. He was really bummed to miss it, but was there is spirit. Trace and I cheered her on.

Easter

This year our family celebrated our very first Passover. Our friends, Jim and Maria Stone, led our family in our seder. The symbolism between the Jewish passover and Christ's fulfillment is amazing. It was a very cool experience for our family. I made a yummy meal of brisket, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans and a kosher version of tiramisu with matzah soaked in coffee.

We had a great Easter service on Sunday. Stacie hosted a wonderful meal of chicken piccata, mashed potatoes, green beans, salad, and we brought Grandma's pickles, deviled eggs, resurrection rolls and two pies. He is Risen!!!

Meet Veronica

Kaylee has been on the hunt for a roommate since deciding to attend FSU. She and Veronica met on a FSU roommate app. Both likes sports, love Jesus, plan on getting involved in campus ministries, among other things. They decided to meet halfway, so this weekend we drove to Cocoa Beach to meet in person.

We got to meet Veronica, her two sisters (Charlotte and Allison) and her mom, Julie. They were all great! We had dinner at a restaurant on the water, but there was an hour and half wait, so we did a little shopping while getting to know each other. Then after dinner, we went out for ice cream. Kianna went too and loved the sisters, especially Charlotte. They exchanged numbers and seem to have a lot in common too. Veronica lives north of Daytona Beach, so is two hours closer to FSU. Veronica wants to be a PT, so she and I had a nice chat about that. Things seem to be falling in place for Kaylee. We're very proud of her for trying to find someone with similar values.

Day Trip to Miami

Today was the best day! My mom, Stacie, Shelli and I took the Brightline train from West Palm to Miami. Once there we Uber'ed to the Versace Mansion on South Beach. We had the most amazing lunch poolside at The Mansion. It was a three course meal with lots of choices for each course. I chose a caesar salad, homemade spinach ravioli and a chocolate drizzled creme puff. So delicious! The setting was so cool. We sat right by the mosaic pool with gold lining. This meal was the highlight of the day.

After lunch, we walked to the beach to see the art deco lifeguard stations and white sand. We then hopped on the free trolley. The trolley was unimpressive. From there, we Uber'ed to the Bayside Marketplace where we took the Millionaire's Row Boat Tour. We saw the homes of Sylvester Stallone, J Lo, Shaquille  O'Neal and Fisher Island where Oprah and Julia Roberts have homes. It was a wonderful day with my mom and sisters. I'm so thankful for these ladies.
