Dimitri Cup

The Dimitri Cup is such a big tournaments that it takes place over three separate weekends, so here we are back in Sarasota. We had some trouble with our hotel reservation and ended up at a swanky Hilton with a rooftop bar. It was a neat atmosphere. Kianna had fun playing soccer, even if the results weren't as she wished. We were able to squeeze in a nice breakfast with Dane and Robin while in their neck of the woods. It was nice to catch up with them.

JCS Christian State Champions

Kianna and Rebekah

Lizzy Shaw, Kaylee, Kianna, Zariah, Rebekah
Kyra Geoffrion, Caroline Dyer, and Anna

The girls and their team had a blast playing in the Christian State Tournament. Kaylee had some of her best games ever scoring a record 21 points and 17 points. Kianna played a few minutes and did her part when in. There are still a few games left in the regular season. Their overall record isn't the best, but they're having fun and improving. I've had fun being an assistant coach. This win really lifted moral.

Trace's 12th Birthday

We had the privilege of celebrating Trace's 12th birthday. Kaylee baked Trace his favorite birthday cake. Trace is a great kid. He loves playing sports, especially soccer and football. His favorite class continues to be PE.

Trace has done well adjusting to public school this year. He has made a lot of friends by riding the bus, which has been nice for him to have more neighborhood friends. Middle school itself has been a big adjustment for Trace. It has required a lot more responsibility and he's had to take ownership of getting his assignments done on his own, without parent teacher communication for the first time. Its been a big challenge, but he's learning a lot through the process.

Trace loves Jesus and has enjoyed joining the youth group this year. Trace's best friend continues to be Michael Lopasky. This year, Trace has also become friends with Trevor and Cal from our neighborhood. We love our little guy and are honored to celebrate him today.

Dimitri Cup

The Dimitri Cup moved from Naples to Sarasota this year. We were excited for the change since Sally moved to TN and our friends, Jeff and Teresa Mudrow moved to Sarasota. We enjoyed a nice meal with them in between games. Trace did a great job in the goal and helped lead his team to the finals. Well done Trace!

Homemade Sushi Rolls

Kaylee got inspired and decided to make us California sushi rolls for dinner. I love it when the girls get inspired to cook. They are both amazing in the kitchen!
