Trace rolls and rolls and rolls

Trace just started rolling from his tummy to his back last week and until last night he had never rolled from his back to his tummy. However, while he was in bed sleeping I found him on his tummy 3 different times (I kept flipping onto his back). I obviously knew that he was capable of rolling from his back to his tummy but had never witnessed it until this evening when he rolled at least 6x different times. For just learning how to roll he makes it look pretty easy. He thinks he is pretty hot stuff and I'd have to agree. I have a feeling our little guy is going to be an early mover, as he has already beat his sisters in rolling by a couple of months. Yikes!

Kaylee's Last Day of Preschool

Kaylee's Preschool Class
Parachute fun.
Kianna having a blast riding a motorized toy.
Kaylee with her scrapbook that she and her teacher made for us.

Today was Kaylee's last day of preschool and to celebrate some mom's organized a fun playday outdoors. The weather was beautiful and definitely cooperated, so Kianna, Trace and I decided to join in on the excitement. The kids all rotated from activity to activity. They began by playing on the play equipment; then rotated to a bowling and bean bag toss station; then rotated to a bubble and limbo station; then to a water balloon and sidewalk chalk/painting station; then to a bike/skooter/outdoor toy area; then played with the parachute; and ended with a picnic under a shade tree. It was a great morning and Kianna had a BLAST following her big sister around and joining in all of the excitement.

Kaylee received her "diploma" on Tuesday night at her Spring Concert where she and her classmates sang about 6 songs to the audience. It was a fun night!

Let the summer begin...

Our Silly Girl

So yesterday this is how we found Kianna. In case you can't tell from the picture, she is wearing a brown SHIRT on her LEGS. She is actually pretty good at getting herself dressed, so not sure how this happened, but thought it was worth documenting!

Trace is 4 months old!!!

Hard to believe our little guy is 4 months old already! Trace had his first bad cold and fever this past weekend. After a trip to the doctor on Sunday, he was diagnosed with a double ear infection and bronchialitis. Poor little guy! He was put on an antibiotic and nebulizer treatments 3-4x/day. They have definitely helped as he sounds so much better when he breathes now and he no longer has a fever. We discovered that he's not a big fan of his nebulizer treatments, as he has cried through the majority of them. I guess crying allows the medicine to go deeper, so it isn't all bad, although it isn't too much fun to listen to.

Trace weighed 13 pounds 14 oz on Sunday and he rolled over 2x from his tummy to his back. That was the first time we had seen him roll over since he was 3 weeks old. It is exciting to see him hitting these milestones, although I'm not in much of a hurry for him to be mobile! Funny how with Kaylee I was so excited for her to start moving and now I want him to say immobile for as long as possible!

Trace is a happy little guy. He LOVES to smile and talk to anyone who looks his way. He really loves it when his sisters talk to him. The girls enjoy bringing Trace his toys. They are anxious for him to be able to play with them more. Trace discovered his hands this month and can often be seen holding his hands together. This past week he started grabbing his dangly toys on his play gym. What a BIG boy! We have also discovered that Trace is ticklish. He enjoys being tickled and we have even gotten a few giggles out of him recently. He is SO precious! We love our little man SO MUCH. He has been a GREAT addition to our family!

Our Family Pictures

I normally dread getting our pictures taken because it seems like I end up stressed out over the experience of getting everyone to LOOK and SMILE at the camera at the SAME time. This time I will have to admit was actually FUN and I think that was due to our photographer. Thanks Missie!

Busy Day

Our 14 month old nephew, Bryker spent the day with Kaylee, Kianna, Trace and I. It was fun getting to spend time with him. He was a really good boy! As one can imagine adding a toddler into my already young crew, was a bit of a challenge. The toughest part was trying to keep a close eye on him while nursing Trace. My solution was to nurse Trace in his room with toys scattered on the floor for Bryker to play with while the door was closed securing him in the room with me. Like I said, Bryker was a really good boy, so it actually went really well. My daily challenge is always trying to tend to the girls, especially Kianna while I am nursing Trace. She is potty trained but still needs some help wiping and washing her hands. The girls are also hungry first thing in the morning, so trying to get them taken care of hunger wise prior to or while feeding Trace is sometimes a bit of a challenge as well. Later in the morning, we were able to play outdoors. Bryker's favorite activity of the morning was undoubtedly swinging on the swing set. The girls had fun playing with their cousin. Thanks Bryker for being such a good boy!!!

Proud Parents

Kaylee had her 2nd soccer game last week and although her team lost we were very proud of our little girl, but not for the reason you may think. During her game one of her teammates, who happens to be a little boy with cerebral palsy, fell down. Well everyone including Kaylee was chasing after the ball and running towards the goal in the opposite direction. Kaylee happened to look back and see her teammate on the ground and instead of continuing to chase the ball she turned around and began running towards this little boy. When she got to him she reached down and helped him up. It was one of those proud moments we have as parents. I had tears in my eyes watching her sweet "Christlike" action. After the game the little boy's mom came up to us and told us how sweet that was that Kaylee helped her son off the ground! Way to go Kaylee!!!
