We closed on our new house today. It is a five bedroom/bathroom house with a guest room and office on the main floor. The upstairs has a loft and four bedrooms. It's a large Mediterranean style home built in 2010. Our favorite part of the house is the beautiful backyard and pool.

We are planning on remodeling the interior before we move in. Thankfully, we have our rental house until the end of January, so we won't have to live in the mess. We plan on getting new luxury vinyl tile throughout the main floor to replace the cracked tiles. We plan on having the entire house repainted a neutral color. We plan on replacing the red office wall with some beautiful shiplap. We plan on ripping out the tiki bar in the dining room. We plan on adding some character to the living room by adding a stone wall and floating shelves. We plan on adding some crown moulding and trim on the main floor and in the master. Finally, we plan on painting the kitchen cabinets white, expanding the island, getting new countertops and a new backsplash. We are so excited to see the finished product!!!

Ugly Sweaters

Kaylee, Camryn and Lucy got together to make their own ugly sweaters for school dress up day. I love their creativity!

Collins Aerospace

Now that the merger with UTC is official, Rockwell Collins has been renamed Collins Aerospace. Trevor received his new office at the Corporate Headquarters, located on the 18th floor of a pink building on S. Flagler Dr. in West Palm Beach. His commute will take about 25 minutes from our new house. I'd say his view rocks!!!

Australia

Botanical Gardens

Trevor flew to Sydney, Australia for a work trip. Although, he spent most of his time in an office, he was blessed to be able to do a couple touristy things. For starters, his hotel was near the Sydney bridge and Opera House, so he was able to see them up close. He also was able to walk around the Botanical Gardens and eat some local cuisine. The highlight though, was that he and some colleagues were able to do a night cruise in the Sydney Harbor. The kids and I decided to eat at Outback while he was away, not sure it's the same, but we tried? He's already bragging about gaining another continent on me.

Mother/Daughter Craft

I arranged for the girls and their friends and their mom's to meet us at Uptown Art Studio. We had a blast making our crafts together. Kianna went a little glitter happy on her octopus, but other than that they turned out perfectly!

Boat Parade

While Trevor's in Australia, we met the Nelson's near the Jupiter Lighthouse to watch the annual boat parade. We are still getting used to Christmas in a warm climate. However, this boat parade was a fun event that we would love to make an annual event.
