Girls' First Day of School

Like everything else this year, school looks very different for our family. The girls are taking two classes at JCS and four online through FLVS. Kaylee is in 10th grade and is taking Honors Chemistry and Honors American Literature at JCS. Then she is taking Latin I, Spanish III, Honors World History and Honors Algebra II online with FLVS.

Kianna is in 8th grade and is taking Honors Algebra I and Honors Physical Science at JCS. Then she is taking Spanish I, HOPE (health and PE), Honors Language Arts and Honors American History online with FLVS.

Their schedule is a bit chaotic, as their JCS classes are at different times and they are not allowed to be on campus when they don't have a class. That means I had to reduce my work schedule even more to get the kids where they need to be. I'm thankful my boss is understanding and that Kaylee gets her drivers license in November, which will help immensely.

Our current schedule is on MWF is:
  • 8:00-9:00 AM- Mom has a patient and Kaylee comes to work with her.
  • 9:00-10:00 AM- Hour off, so Mom can take Kaylee to school for her 9:47 AM class.
  • 10:00-1:00 PM- Mom works. Dad takes Kianna to school for her 11:30 AM class. Dad waits if he has time for Kaylee to have lunch with her friends until noon. If not she hops in the car with him at 11:30 AM.
  • 1:00 PM- Mom off work, so she can pick Kianna up at 1:50 pm. They either wait in the car together 2:45 pm when Kianna has cross country practice or Mom drives Kianna home and she hops back in the car with our neighbor who has to pick her daughter up from school.
  • 5:00 PM Mom picks Kianna up  from the beach, school or JCP depending where practice was that day.
  • Dinner
  • Club Sports
  • Etc.,
On T/R I fly solo while Trevor works. It's pretty crazy, but we'll make it work. It saves us a ton of money in tuition!
