Gamel's Visit

Trace and Trevor were blessed to get to spend some time with Stacy and John Robert today. John Robert is interested in becoming a pilot and wanted to tour Collins Aerospace's Melbourne location. Trevor decided to take Trace with him and give the tour to all of them. It was a special day for Trace to be able to go to work with his dad for the first time. It was fun for all of them to catch up.

Happy Father's Day

It's always great to celebrate Trevor and Father's Day seemed like a great day to do so. We decided to grill steaks. Kaylee made a yummy pasta salad and asparagus. Kianna baked our favorite chocolate chip banana bread cake with peanut butter frosting and nailed it! Happy Father's Day to our special guy!

Junior NBA Basketball Tournament

Kaylee's Jupiter Jaguar basketball team decided that the girls should travel to Atlanta, Georgia for the Junior NBA tournament. Unfortunately, this decision was not unanimous and caused a divide in her team. At least three girls decided not to play in the tournament, requiring the coaches to scramble for some additional players. Reluctantly, we agreed to let Kaylee play in this tournament. She carpooled to Atlanta with a teammate and then Trevor flew to Atlanta to meet her there.

They had a nice father/daughter weekend, but the basketball side of it was very disappointing. The girls were over matched and the playing time unfair. To make the weekend more fun, Trevor took Kaylee out for italian food and to an Atlanta Braves baseball game.

Rapids Waterpark

We spent the day at the Rapids Waterpark in West Palm today. We went with our friends: Kate, Colin and Rachel Butters. We met them at church and found out they also live in our neighborhood. We are thankful for our new friends.

Kaylee's Eastern Caribbean Cruise

Grandma Becki decided to take all of her grandkids on a special trip in 8th grade. Obviously, Kaylee was the first up. They decided on a seven day Princess cruise out of Ft. Lauderale to the Eastern Caribbean. Aunt Sam and Bryker decided to tag along as well, which only added to the fun factor.

The Iowa crew arrived the day before the cruise and stayed an extra day after the cruise, which allowed us to see them too. We took them out to breakfast at Berry Fresh Cafe, one of our favorite breakfast spots. We had some pool time and took them to Boomers for some arcade games and laser tag.

The cruisers had a great time both on and off the ship. They had stops in St. Maarten, St. Thomas and the Princess Cays. Kaylee was thrilled to be going out of the country for the first time since St. Maarten is Dutch owned, which required her to get a passport.

Kaylee and Bryker had a great time exploring the cruise ship together. They got lots of blended beverages and ice cream treats. The food was amazing I heard. They even dressed up for several of the meals. Kaylee was so thrilled to have been given this amazing trip!!!

Summer Break has Begun...

I'm happy to report that the kids are on summer break and so am I. Our clinic is heavily populated with snow birds, so when they go back home, our clinic slows down. I volunteered to have the summer off to be home with the kids. I'll return to work after Labor Day.

Our summer break began with several puzzles, flag football camp for Trace, VBS-volunteering for us girls and participating for Trace. I helped with the check-in and check-out process. Kianna helped with the bible rotation. Kaylee was partnered with another gal to lead a group of kids. It was a fun week. We also fit in some beach time with friends where we found a huge conch shell. Unfortunately, we had to throw it back since it was the home to a large crab. I've also had some fun walks with friends at Riverbend park, where I've seen some beautiful wildlife. I love summer!
