Naperville Tournament

 

While I was in Lake Geneva on my Girls Weekend, Trevor was in Naperville with Kaylee at her basketball tournament. Kaylee recently joined the Tigers White Travel Basketball team. They played this weekend against some stiff competition and some very tall girls. Kaylee came away with some scratches. She got to know her teammates better and had some fun bonding experiences. 

Lake Geneva, Wisconsin

 

My sisters, Mom and I decided to take Grandma away for the weekend to celebrate her 94th birthday. We rented a lovely house in Lake Geneva, WI. We spent most of our time at the house, but did manage to go into town for dinner one night. There were some neat ice sculptures around the lake. We also went on a hike. I think we even got lost for awhile. The rest of the time we played games, visited and laughed a lot. 

Stacie brought the game "Cards Against Humanity" for us to play. I had never played the game before and basically it is like "Apples to Apples" except super inappropriate. It has a lot of sexual references, which made me quite uncomfortable. My Mom and sisters had a good time trying to make me as uncomfortable as possible. In fact, when I got up to use the restroom I came back to find I had THE most inappropriate cards ever. They all started to laugh as I read them. It turns out, my mom stacked my hand with the worst cards! We all had a good laugh.

Another highlight of the trip was bunking with Bree. I rarely get to see Bree and it was so fun reminiscing about childhood memories. We laughed so hard. It was a great trip!

Marion Swish

Trace joined the Marion Swish basketball team. These boys are good. They've been playing together for awhile. They play at a much higher level than Trace is used to, but he's learning. It's fun to watch them play!

 

Miles

 

This is how Rizzo sleeps...

Introducing Miles Shannon, Rizzo's half brother. They have the same dad but different moms. Stacie loved Rizzo so much on Christmas that she went out and got Miles. They adore each other. It's almost like they know they're related. They're so cute together!

Trace's 8th Birthday

 

Our little guy is 8 years old. Trace celebrated this year with his friends: Zach Flender, Mark Miller, and Cyrus Miller. We took the kids to Sky Zone to get them nice and sweaty. Afterwards we brought them home for a nerf gun fight.

Trace is in 2nd grade and his favorite classes are gym and recess. He loves any sport with a ball. His favorites are soccer, baseball, flag football and basketball. He loves legos and nerf guns. He loves to make people laugh. He loves his sisters. He and Kianna are good buddies. He has tons of energy and crashes hard when he's tired. We love you buddy!
