Our Amazing View at our House |
We spent three days in Estes Park, Colorado hiking at Rocky Mountain National Park. The first day, we hiked right outside of the park at a nice trail. The second day, we hiked to Bear Lake, Nymph Lake, Dream Lake and Emerald Lake. The views are absolutely breathtaking. The third day, we hiked the Ute Trail. It was a much flatter hike than the other hikes, but beautiful in its own right. The kids were able find some snow, which was pretty cool. We packed a picnic and ate lunch at the end of the trail. Trace struggled with bloody noses while here, getting 2-3/day. He had a bad one on our hike and we joked that the blood made a Hitler like mustache.
We stayed at an amazing house with a mountain view on the Big Thompson River. We loved listening to the babbling water through the windows. It was so peaceful. We enjoyed playing cards, shopping and eating yummy food in town. An added bonus was meeting up with my cousin, Lauren and her family for dinner one night. It was so great visiting with them and meeting her kids and husband. We loved our time in Estes Park. Now off to Colorado Springs to visit family...
