Becki and I have been busy decorating. She chalk painted some picture frames for me, while I painted a piece of furniture. We're especially proud of how our collage wall turned out! She is such a big help!!!

Valentine's Day

One of our favorite traditions is homemade Valentine's and a heart shaped meal. This year was no different. I made lasagna soup with heart shaped noodles and heart shaped breadsticks.  Trevor surprised us with Navy Seal souvenirs as he had just returned from a work trip to San Diego and seeing his cousin.

Silly Girls

Kianna continues to be obsessed with slime. She invited her friend, Jessica over and this is what I found the two of them doing...

JCS MS Soccer

In addition to club soccer, Kianna also played on the JCS Middle School team. The team is 6-8th graders and their season was a bit rough. I don't recall there being many wins. She looked cute in her uniform though!

Grandma Becki's Here

Grandma Becki decided to come spend a month with us this winter. She was here from February 5th to March 5th. She came about a week after we moved into our house, which means she helped us unpack, get organized and decorate our house.

When we weren't making her work, we entertained her by going to basketball and soccer games, eating at yummy restaurants and doing a couple outings. One of those outings was to the Morikami Japanese Gardens. Kelly went along too. We had fun exploring the beautiful scenery and even saw a couple of iguanas. We also had a nice lunch and sushi while there.

Another outing was to the Sawgrass Recreation Park. We went there in search of an airboat ride. The airboat ride was very touristy, but we did manage to see a few alligators. The kids were able to pet a baby alligator. It was a fun day.

We also were able to celebrate Valentine's Day and her birthday with her. One of her highlights, was sure to be reconnecting with a few of her high school friends down in Boca Raton. She spent the night with her friends and they had a great time getting reacquainted. We also invited the Hayes and Standerski's over for dinner. Jeff's mom was visiting him from Chicago, so Becki really enjoyed visiting with someone her own age. We had a nice visit with Becki.

Braces

Kianna was not blessed with great teeth. She has a bottom tooth that sits way back and her top teeth are crooked. Kianna's been waiting to get braces for years and he day finally arrived. She had braces put on her top teeth and spacers and a ramp put in to help with her bottom teeth. Unfortunately, her bottom teeth aren't ready for braces, as she still has six teeth that need to fall out and grow back. For now, she begins phase one. She's excited to get the process started!
