 Two days until we move in and the house in nearly ready, but still unfinished. Pressures on, here we come ready or not...

Trace's 10th Birthday

Michael and Trace

Our little man is 10, double digits!! Here's a little bit about our Tracer:

• Very athletic- Trace loves playing sports. Since moving to Florida, he has been focusing on soccer, but loves playing any team sport. 
• Video Games- Trace and his sisters got a Nintendo Switch for Christmas. It was supposed to be for all of them, but Trace is for sure the most excited about it. He asked for new headphones for his birthday so he can connect with his friends while playing. 
• STEM activities- Trace enjoys building things. He received the Nintendo Switch building packages. He is able to build them and then they connect to his Switch. He received one for Christmas too and loved putting it together.
• School- Trace's favorite part of school is lunch, recess and gym. He is good at math, but the others are his favorites.
• Friends- Trace has made a few new friends since moving to Florida. At school, he enjoys Caleb Carley and at soccer he likes Michael Lopasky. Back in Iowa, Trace remains friends with Zach Flender. 
• Food- this past year Trace has decided he no longer likes vegetables. He likes meat and sweets. 
• Thumb- Despite much effort, Trace continues to suck his thumb...

In order to celebrate Trace, we made him his favorite birthday cake and told him he can have a team pool party at our new house once we get settled. In the meantime, he spent his birthday weekend in Naples with Trevor at his soccer tournament. They ordered pizzas and had a pool party. He had fun celebrating his birthday with his team!

NYC Surprise

We got together with Kelly and Camryn for dinner and a BIG surprise. Kelly created a puzzle with clues to our upcoming summer girls trip. Once the puzzle pieces were assembled, the clues pointed to New York City. The girls had been wanting to go to New York City and are so excited to all be going together. Our boys are planning on taking a club soccer trip to Scotland, so we decided to plan our own trip while they're away. Fun surprise!!!

Naples Tournament

Kianna loves her soccer team from Jupiter United and her Coach Malcolm Boyle. He's from Scotland and has a super fun accent. Unfortunately, her team doesn't win very often, but they keep plugging away. Kianna's skills are improving and she loves playing offense. Her team loves her energy, as she is all over the field.

The highlight of the weekend for me, besides my one-on-one time with Kianna, was being able to stay at Sally's house. I love being close to Sally. She is a true friend!!!

Langfald's Visit

Sam and Mike surprised their kids at Christmas with a trip to visit us in Florida. We took them to Coral Cove to look for shells. We took them to the Loggerhead Marinelife Center. We took them to the beach and to DuBois Park to snorkel. We took them to see our new house and swim in the pool with us for the first time. Trevor cranked up the pool heater to the point that the whole pool felt like a hot tub. It was awesome!!!! We had so much fun showing them around Jupiter. 

New Floors

We got back from Iowa and went straight to our house to see the progress. What a great way to start off the new year with beautiful new floors!
