Trace's Team Party
Somehow, Trevor and I ended up celebrating our 16th Anniversary with a pizza and pool party with Trace's soccer team. Not the usual celebration, but a fun one nonetheless.

Kaylee's Bedroom
While Kaylee was away on her minimester trip, I decided to surprise her by decorating her room. By decorating, I mean I hung up lights and added some pictures to the walls. I think her room turned out adorable!

Dinosaur Invasion
It's Trevor's 45th birthday today, but he is with Kaylee at a basketball tournament. So, I decided to take Trace and Kianna to the Dinosaur Invasion at the Science Museum in West Palm. Honestly, it was pretty lame, but we had fun exploring the museum regardless.

Kaylee's Minimester Trip to Georgia
![]() |
Kaylee and Lucy Warren |
Every year at JCS the upper school declares the week before Spring Break, Minimester. Every grade does something different for minimester. This year the 8th grade class flew to Atlanta, Georgia for a class trip. They visited the Aquarium and Six Flags in Atlanta and then drove into the mountains for a team building camp. They had lots of activities for the kids including zipline and a ropes course. Kaylee loved the activities but unfortunately had some friend drama, as she and Camryn felt excluded from the rest of their friends and even got separated into a different portion of the cabin. Sadly, the friend drama put a damper on the whole week for both girls.

Our First Winter in Florida
We're kind of digging these Florida winters. Winter here mean lots of snow birds, long waits at restaurants, more traffic and more patients for me to see. We can handle that, especially in contrast to the bitter cold, long winters up north...

St. Augustine, Florida

Caleb Carley and Trace |
JCS has the coolest field trips! I got to go to St. Augustine with Trace's 4th grade class. It is four hours north of Jupiter, so we got up bright and early and came back very late.
St. Augustine is the oldest Spanish colony in the United States. It was colonized 50 some years before the Pilgrims landed in Plymouth, MA and the English in Jamestown, VA. Spain first claimed St. Augustine as its own colony in 1565. King Philip II named Don Pedros Mendendez as the Governor of Florida. He began exploring the area and establishing missions for the indians. The Spanish also constructed Castillo San de Marcos, a huge fort that still stands today.
In the 1800's, Henry Flagler brought his railroads and wealth to St. Augustine. He established lavish hotels, which remain today. St. Augustine has gorgeous cobblestone streets, a beautiful lighthouse and miles worth of beaches. It is truly an amazing city, rich with history.
We were able to drink some water from Ponce de Leon's Fountain of Youth located inside the Archaeological Park. We toured the Colonial Quarter, the jail, and the fort. We also took a trolley ride through the current town of St. Augustine, which was absolutely beautiful! We had a great time in St. Augustine and would love to go back to spend more time in this gorgeous city.
