New Year's Eve

We stayed in Iowa longer this year, so we could attend the annual NYE party at the Grimm's house. It was a fun night of games and visiting with our friends.

Night with the Shannons

Once Aunt Stacie was feeling better, we made sure we got to see her before we headed back. We had a nice meal out with her and Patrick.

Fun with Friends

We made sure we had time to visit some friends while we were back. We got to spend an evening with the Flender's and the Issa's. We love our dear friends.

Gaskill Christmas

We always have fun with Grandma Sue and Grandpa Wayne. We stayed with Grandma Becki half the time and them the other half. We love playing peanuts and Up and Down the River with them. The kids love playing ping pong as well. 

Christmas Day

On Christmas morning we open our stockings, read scripture and eat monkey bread. Well, we were too full to eat monkey bread, but we did have fun opening stockings. One of our other Christmas traditions is that we always watch "The Nativity Story". We love that movie and it helps get us into the true meaning of Christmas. 

After our own events, went over to the Shannon's house for a yummy lunch and gifts. Unfortunately, Stacie was sick this year with the stomach flu. Uncle Patrick and Aunt Shelli decided to make dinner, while Stacie decided to stay in her bedroom.  The meal was delicious, but we sure missed Aunt Stacie. 

One of our gifts to Rylan was a slime kit. We made sure Kianna got to make some slime with Rylan, so they had some extra special cousin time later in the week. 

Christmas Eve in Iowa

We love our Christmas Eve Party with the Cooks and Langfalds. The food, games and company rocks. This year was no different!!! Bryker and Bruxen received a surprise trip to visit us in a couple of weeks. We're so excited to get to spend more time with them then!!!

Boomers Merit Trip

Kianna and her 6th grade class earned a trip to Boomers in Boca Raton. Boomers is a super fun arcade that also has bumper boats, mini golf, laser tag, and go carts. There was a really fun pac man air hockey game that was a hit with the kids. Instead of playing with just one puck, lots of pucks drop down at once and you try to hit them into your opponents hole. Once you think you're finished, more pucks drop down. It is such a fun game.

Kianna was excited to be able to drive her own go cart now that she is tall enough. She spent a lot of time with Jayden, Jordin and Gavin. I enjoyed getting to meet some of her classmates. It turns out Jordin lives in our new neighborhood, Rialto. It was a great day!

Demo Has Begun

We're excited to report that demo has begun on our house. The tile floors are gone revealing large holes in our foundation. It appears we found the cause of the cracked tiles. These holes will be filled in before installing our new floors.

Our Family Christmas

Our family celebrated Christmas extra early this year, as Trevor has to fly to Iowa a few days before us for work. We surprised the kids with a Nintendo Switch and games. It was a fun surprise. Trace is especially excited with the gift.

Our main gift is being able to fly back to Iowa to visit our friends/family and experience some cold weather. Christmas with warm weather is weird, although the decorated palm trees are beautiful.

Christmas Programs

Camryn's theater performance

Both Trace and Kianna's had Christmas choir concerts. It was so fun to hear their performances. As a bonus, we got to see Kaylee's artwork displayed and Camryn's drama team perform. Fun night!
