Halloween

Halloween is full of so many great traditions. The kids had fun carving their pumpkins. They loves getting creative on their designs. This year, Trace dressed up as a power ranger, Kianna was Cleopatra and Kaylee was Captain America. We invited Grandma Jacque, Grandma GG, Uncle Ryan and Rylan over for a pumpkin dinner and to trick or treat with us. Kaylee's friend, Emily joined us as well. The grandma's stayed at the house to hand out treats, while the rest of us trick-or-treated. It was so fun being able to have Grandma GG hand out candy again like she did in years past. We sure missed that tradition when we lived in Michigan. It was a fun night!

Harvest Party

I decided to volunteer to be the Events Coordinator at our church. Tonight was the result of lots and lots of preparation by my team and I. We had barbecue, apple cider, pumpkin bowling, face painting, a hayrack ride, fall themed games, and a band. Fun for all ages! The smiles on their faces seem to indicate it was a success.

Bloomsbury Farm

One of our favorite fall activities is going to Bloomsbury Farm. This year Trevor and Rylan were able to join us. It didn't disappoint.

Brucemore Scarecrows

Kianna's 4th grade class participated in a scarecrow contest on Brucemore's property. Kianna and I went to see the other entries. There were some creative ones.

October Birthday Bash

One of the sweet things about living close to family again is that the kids get to know their cousins better. Today we celebrated Alyssa and Cameron's birthdays in October and Maddie and Jacoby's birthdays in November. It was a fall themed party and the kids got to bob for apples for the first time.

Kearney, NE

Dad and his kids

All of us

Sisters

Dave and Darla

We had a family reunion in Kearney, NE with my Dad, Sue and all of his kids. It doesn't happen very often that we're all together. But when we do, it's often in Kearney, NE, the half way point between Colorado and Iowa. I brought Kianna and Trace with me, as Trevor and Kaylee already had prior commitments. We played games, visited the Kearney County Historical Museum and just enjoyed each other's company. It was a great weekend!
