Jennifer's Visit

My childhood best friend, Jennifer Thullen came to visit us this weekend from Chicago. It had been awhile since we had spent anytime together. I was honored she made the trip to see me. It was good catching up.

New Glasses

We had Kianna evaluated for possible sensory processing issues by an occupational therapist. She tested within normal limits, but the one thing they did notice is that Kianna's eyes don't work together properly. Kianna was referred to a developmental opthalmologist, where they prescribed her some glasses to help her eyes relax along with some therapy. They recommended 12 sessions, which she did and we did notice some benefit. Kianna has always gotten car sick immediately upon entering a car, like within a couple blocks of our house. However, after therapy, she rarely complains of motion sickness. We also noticed a big improvement in her handwriting. We're thankful for the professionals who were able to help Kianna's eyes work together better.

Bloomington

We always love our time in Bloomington, IN visiting Uncle Todd, Aunt Traci, and Broderick. They are all so good with the kids. The got to fish, ride in the paddle boats, swim in the lake, feed the coy, catch frogs and salamanders, hike in the woods and roast marshmallows. We also decided to attend a soccer game at Indiana University. On our way back to Iowa, we decided to stop by Indianapolis and visit Ron and Jane Evans. It was great seeing them again and their new school. It was an amazing Labor Day Weekend.
